28 years of chiropractic. Thousands of accident patients.
Dr. Boggs has been a licensed chiropractor for 28 years. He opened Accident Care Clinic in 2005, and in the 21 years since, he and his team have treated thousands of accident patients across the Oklahoma City metro.
Auto accident injuries are what this practice is built around — not a sideline, and not something we see a few times a year.
What that adds up to is pattern recognition. He's seen how these injuries tend to show up, how they change over the first few weeks, and what tends to get missed when someone is moved through an appointment too quickly.

Listening is where care begins
Ask Dr. Boggs what makes his care different and he doesn't start with equipment or technique. He starts with listening.
"I listen to them and have an ability to get information out of them that others don't. I manage to gain a rapport with patients."
— Dr. Robert Boggs
That isn't a bedside-manner nicety. It's the method. Listening builds rapport, and rapport is how the whole picture comes out — the symptom you forgot to mention, the thing that only hurts at night, the part of the crash you haven't told anyone about.
None of it happens in a hurry. The more he hears, the more he catches — which is exactly why he doesn't rush you through.

How he ended up doing this work
Dr. Boggs started out in general chiropractic care. Then a busy Tulsa attorney's office began sending accident patients his way, and more followed — enough that caring for people hurt in crashes became the work he kept coming back to.
So in 2005 he opened Accident Care Clinic as its own practice, dedicated to auto accident injuries. It didn't grow out of a business plan. It grew out of the work he and his team genuinely liked doing, and the patients they liked watching recover.
The part he thinks gets missed
A crash isn't only a physical injury
Dr. Boggs believes the emotional aftermath of an accident is the most under-treated part of auto injury care. People come in shaken, not sleeping well, anxious about driving, worried about work and money — and get treated as though only their neck is involved.
He treats the whole person. That means the visit has room in it for the rest of what you're carrying, not just the part that shows up on an X-ray.
How Dr. Boggs approaches your care
No two accidents are the same, and no two people heal the same way. Here's what stays consistent.
Your first visit begins with a conversation about the accident and how you're feeling now — not a rushed intake form. The questions matter, because what you say shapes what gets examined and what gets found.
You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis. You don't need to know what's wrong. Start with how you feel and let the evaluation do the rest.
Accidents leave more than physical injuries behind. Anxiety, trouble sleeping, and nervousness about getting back on the road are common, and Dr. Boggs considers them part of what he's treating — not a separate issue for someone else to handle.
After a crash you're managing a damaged car, missed work, insurance calls, and paperwork you've probably never dealt with before. Dr. Boggs and the team help you navigate that too.
He works with personal injury attorneys regularly and can help you understand how the pieces fit together — without pressure, and without turning your recovery into a case.
Dr. Boggs uses myofascial release extensively with accident patients — hands-on soft tissue work that releases tight fascia and muscle restrictions after a crash.
It's a technique he's drawn to and uses regularly, and it isn't offered everywhere. It's often what helps with the lingering stiffness and restricted movement that don't resolve on their own.
Recovery is a process with ups and downs. Some weeks feel like progress and some don't, and Dr. Boggs would rather tell you that up front than promise you a straight line.
His minimum goal for every accident patient is to get you back to at least where you were before the crash.

"Seeing people's lives transform from a painful time to a joyous time."
— Dr. Robert Boggs, on what he likes about the work
He'll tell you about patients who came in on crutches and walked out without them. He'll also tell you that every recovery is different, and that he isn't in the business of promising anyone a particular result.
What he will commit to is being thorough, and to treating you like a person rather than a file.
He answers his own reviews
Not a marketing team. Here's one, to a patient who'd finished treatment
"Sorry for the late reply. I'm so happy we were able to provide you with the care you deserved. I remember how much pain you were in, and it had to be difficult dealing with us and life in general. You stuck it out and it paid off."
— Dr. Boggs, replying to a patient review

Questions about seeing Dr. Boggs
No. You don't need a diagnosis and you don't need to match your symptoms to a label. If something feels off after an accident, that's reason enough to be evaluated. Start with how you feel — that's what the first visit is for.
Both. Dr. Robert Boggs and Dr. John Swatzell see patients at the NW office on NW 132nd St and the South office on SW 44th St. All services are offered at both locations. Call (405) 773-8000 and we'll get you scheduled at whichever is easier for you.
If your recovery calls for care beyond our scope, we'll refer you to the right provider and coordinate with your other providers along the way. That includes advanced imaging or medical care when it's appropriate — the goal is that nothing slows your recovery down.
That's common, and it's worth getting checked anyway. Not all injuries are obvious right away — pain, headaches, stiffness, or nerve symptoms sometimes show up days after a crash. An early evaluation gives you a baseline either way.
